What will you do?

You conduct telephone interviews for genuine research.

DESAN conducts telephone research among consumers, businesses and organisations throughout the Netherlands for a wide range of clients.

From the Amsterdam call centre, you contact respondents and guide them through a pre-programmed questionnaire. You listen carefully, ask questions accurately and encourage people to participate in a friendly manner.

Who are we looking for?

Curious, friendly and persuasive.

Experience with telephone interviewing is helpful but not essential. It is more important that you communicate clearly, treat respondents with respect and are motivated to conduct high-quality interviews.

The role is particularly suitable for students looking for flexible part-time work. You work exclusively from the DESAN call centre, so guidance and support are always close at hand.

Flexible scheduling

A part-time job that fits well alongside your studies.

You submit your availability each week, after which DESAN schedules you for available four-hour shifts. You receive your schedule the week beforehand and can adapt your availability around lectures, exams and other commitments.

Pay and contract

Clear agreements in advance.

You are employed directly by DESAN and can choose between a zero-hours contract and a minimum–maximum hours contract. The stated amounts are gross all-inclusive hourly rates; no additional evening or other allowances apply.

Training and guidance

You start well prepared.

Before you start calling independently, DESAN provides paid in-house training. Previous experience is therefore not required.

Do I need experience?

No. Experience with telephone interviews is an advantage but not required. DESAN provides paid in-house training.

Can I work from home?

No. The work is carried out from the DESAN call centre on Transformatorweg in Amsterdam.

How flexible is the schedule?

You submit your availability each week. Based on this, you are scheduled one week in advance for four-hour shifts.

Is this telephone sales?

No. You conduct interviews for research. You do not sell products, services or subscriptions.
